The dice daddy: a legacy of greatness

All sports have their legends.

Football has Brady.

Basketball has Jordan.

Baseball has Ruth.

Dice has Volpa.

Darik "The Dice Daddy" Volpa is widely regarded as the greatest dicer of all time.

A five-time Liar's Dice World Champion, Volpa dominated the competitive dice scene for nearly two decades, compiling a record that many believe will never be matched.

Known for his legendary reads and an unmatched ability to stare directly into an opponent's soul while holding a suspiciously average roll, Volpa became the face of professional dicing during the sport's golden era.

Following his historic fifth championship, The Dice Daddy retired in 2015 to focus on family and philanthropy.

Today, his influence can still be felt at dice tables around the world.

The Dice Daddy remains available for select public appearances, corporate keynote speeches, private dicing exhibitions, premium autographed dice cups, and exclusive one on one coaching sessions conducted via Zoom.

“It takes a wise man to sell a lie. A fool better remain honest” -Darik Volpa

Rolling dice, changing lives...

    Ask the daddy...

    1. Each player gets 5 dice and a cup.
    2. Everyone rolls secretly and looks only at their own dice.
    3. The first player makes a call about all dice on the table, such as:
      "There are four 3s."
    4. The next player must either:
      • Raise the bid (more dice or a higher face value), or
      • Ask everyone to pick up their cup

    1. If the person whose turn it is pulls their cup, all dice are revealed.
      • If the call was right (at least that many dice exist), the challenger loses a die.
      • If the call was wrong, the bidder loses a die.

    1. Players who lose all their dice are eliminated.
    2. Last player with dice remaining wins.

1s (or aces) are wild and count as any number except during bids specifically on 1s.

The first person to make a call can call a 1 and 1's are no longer wild for that roll.

They are always wild unless the first person in a roll calls one or any combination of ones as the first call. They go back to being wild on the next roll.

    No.

    Normal dice. Aces remain wild.

This is the skunk rule. It's always in effect. Pay the winner $5 and play better dice.

Call "Stacked", show everyone your dice, reroll.

Yes. The game is called liars dice, so there is no expectation that you are telling the truth.

    Yes.

Yes, but this gets highly annoying and no one has an obligation to tell you. Stop drinking and pay attention.

    Yes.
